Design and update
the Calypso technology specifications, in coordination with
users (transport networks) and suppliers (manufacturers).
Promote the Calypso
technology in international standardization bodies.
Assist transport
networks in using the Calypso technology (fare integration,
data definition, security architecture, interoperability,
etc).
For BMS, the official banking association
managing the French electronic purse:
Design the requirements of the smartcard electronic purse with ISO 14443 Calypso contactless ticketing functions, and of its security module.
Manage the design
and development of these products by external suppliers (project
management).
Validate the products
developed.
Manage other parts
of the project: personalization process, ticketing security
architecture, integration of the electronic purse in the transport
networks, risk analysis, etc.
For the French Ministry of Transport
The European digital tachograph is a project defined by the
European Commission. By August 2004, it will be mandatory
to install this device in all the European Union trucks to
control speed limits and work regulations.
This complex project must be implemented by every European
State. A large number of actors are involved (European regulation
and control bodies, various ministries, suppliers, truck companies
and drivers, etc.) and it relates to specialized technical
fields including smart cards, public key cryptography and embedded
systems.
Spirtech mission, with its partner Algoe, is to assist the
French Government in:
Technical coordination.
Security choices.
Project management for the card issuing centers, for the key management infrastructure and for the portable control equipments design.
Follow-up of the European coordination work (security, networks).
