Overall Presentation
CALYPSO specifies the exchanges between a card and a terminal and relies on the ISO/IEC 14443 standard comprising four parts:
- The first two describe the radio interface.
- The third part is devoted to frame format and anti-collision
- The fourth part specifies the protocol.
Most of the normative works focus on the card interoperability. The ISO/IEC 10373-6 standard describes a number of tests to validate the terminal compliance with ISO 14443.
Additionally, an audit of your terminals may be required to be registered by the Calypso Networks Association.
The Calypso Testing Suite to test your Calypso terminals
Spirtech has designed and markets the Calypso Testing Suite to test terminals implementing the management of the Calypso ticketing standard. The Calypso Testing Suite includes two modules:
- The Calypso Card Simulator (CCS) behaves like a Calypso card for the terminal under test.
- The Programming Tool configures the CCS through a contactless interface and allows to display previous exchanges logs.
From processing test scripts to the analysis of data
After its configuration, the Calypso Card Simulator processes the test scripts and records the trace of exchanges with the terminals. The test operator just uses the CCS facing the terminal that need to be validated. Then, the operator downloads the data related to the test from the CCS memory for analysis.
Test the terminal management of the parts 3 and 4 of the ISO/IEC 14443B.
Help preparing the terminal audit registration required to be registered by Calypso Networks Association.
Correct the communication problems occurring between contactless cards and terminals.
